February is dental health month, and it’s an exciting time for preschoolers and kindergarteners! There is something about teeth that is so exciting for our youngest learners, and a teeth preschool theme is perfect for the end of February
This week we celebrated Dental Health month at home with lots of teeth learning fun.
Teeth Preschool Theme Ideas
The first way we celebrated our teeth is by working on this fun teeth art project. I printed off this tooth page. You can find it here:
We practiced gluing with liquid glue in each dot. This was a challenge to try and stop the glue and lift it up without the glue spreading everywhere! You can take this a step further and add glitter to the top, let it dry, dump off the glitter, and have a fun spotted tooth!
We had extra fun because we ran out of glitter yesterday, so instead we used sprinkles. The sprinkles sort of dissolved and left these fun colorful spots on the tooth. Another easy idea!
Tooth Sensory Bin
I always loved adding in a sensory bin any time I can. They intrigue the youngest learners and make learning time that much more fun! Today we filled it with pattern pictures. You can find theme here:
My son carefully pulled out each picture from the bin. First we matched together the pictures that are the same. Then, we worked on creating patterns with them. With the variety of pictures he had we made AB, ABBA and ABC patterns. There’s a whole variety of options!
Free Printable
If you head over to Little Owl Academy on TPT and search “Teeth” You can find a whole variety of fun options for your preschool at home or in the classroom to celebrate dental health month. If you could use a FREE count to 20 teeth themed page, grab it here!
