Having 3 young children, there are times where we need to be quiet (like church) that can be extremely stressful. I have searched for and wide for quiet books, and realized two things: 1. they were either extremely expensive or 2. they were SO time consuming to make. So, I created my own printable quiet book for young children to use, learn, and stay occupied at the times it’s needed most!
How It’s Made
This printable quiet book does require a little bit of effort. The pages need to be printed. It’s best if they are printed on card stock or on heavier paper. Then, they will need to be laminated for durability. The part that takes the longest is the cutting of the individual pieces. But, I was able to successfully make one in just a couple of hours. Make sure to buy heavy duty velcro as well for long lasting durability.
Tips for Making the Printable Quiet Book
Since the goal of the quiet book is to keep the children quiet, we quickly learned that it’s best to put the pieces in a ziplock bag on the back of the prior page. I simply un-velcro each of the pieces before we leave home, place them in the bag, and they are quietly and easily accessible for use.
