My favorite thing about Christmas time is the opportunity it provides me to read even more to my children. We collect Christmas books and have read so many over the years. But, we always come back to this one, “Little Blue Truck’s Christmas.” It may be that I have all boys, or it could be that the Christmas tree lights up at the end, but this is the most loved Christmas book at our house. Today I am going to share some “Little Blue Truck’s Christmas” activities that we complete after reading our book.
“Little Blue Truck’s Christmas” Activities
I like to read this book with my youngest sons or with my youngest students. They get to practice counting to 5, then 4, then 3, then 2, and finally one. It helps them begin to understand one to one correspondence. We read it again, and again, and again! Then, we complete the toddler curriculum activities found below:
This book companion comes with 5 activities:
- Cut out the Christmas trees and glue them on the truck
- Cut out the little blue truck and drive him along with Christmas tree path
- Trace the lines and cut them to the Christmas tree
- Draw lines between matching Christmas tree picutres
- Cut out Christmas decorations and use them to decorate your own Christmas tree
These activities can take a few minutes a day for a week, or be done all in one sitting. Just today my three year old and I worked on this together for about 45 minutes. It was a perfect way to spend our morning together. So, if you are looking for “Little Blue Truck’s Christmas” activities for ages 3 or 4- this packet is perfect for you.
