One of my favorite preschool themes to dive in to and explore is a jungle theme. Most students will not have had any real life exposure to a jungle, and so it is extra fun to introduce a topic so knew to all students. One of my favorite books to read is “Over in the Jungle” by Marianna Berkes. After diving in to your jungle theme, read this amazing book and then find below fun activities in my “Over in the Jungle” book companion.

“Over in the Jungle” Reading Activities
One of the other 8 included themes in this book companion is focusing on reading. Read beginning CVC words together as you learn about the jungle and count all of the different jungle animals.
By combing preschool and kindergarten standards with a wonderful book study, your learners will excel and grow more than by just handing them a worksheet and telling them to work. Your learners will find that they attach reading to learning and learning to books and that circle will help them grow!
